PLEASE TAKE NOTICE, Public Hearings will be held by the Menard County Planning Commission on April 23, at 6:00 p.m., and the Menard County Zoning Board of Appeals on April 25, at 6:00 p.m., at the Menard County Courthouse, 102 South Seventh Street, Petersburg, Illinois, for the purpose of considering and hearing testimony regarding a text amendment, changing the Menard County Zoning Ordinance in the A-Agriculture district for property located in Menard County for Indian Creek Farmstead LLC at 19468 Curtis Blacktop Road, and located in a part of:
S5 T18 R6 N SIDE NE SW and consisting of 12.00 acres
S5 T18 R6 (EX W SIDE) SW NW and consisting of 31.00 acres
S5 T18 R6 N 25 AC OF NE 1/4 (EX .03 AC IN SE COR) SW and consisting of 25.00 acres
S5 T18 R6 N END W 1/2 SE 1/4. and consisting of 28.83 acres
S5 T18 R6 MID PT N 1/2 SW SE & S PT NW SE and consisting of 21.59 acres
The foregoing proposal is the result of a petition by John Lyons, Trustee, the owner of Indian Creek Farmstead LLC and acting on their own behalf or with counsel. The application and other documents are on file and available for inspection at the Menard County Courthouse, 102 South Seventh Street, Petersburg, Illinois, during normal business hours.
All interested parties are invited to attend the public hearings and will be given an opportunity to be heard.
The Zoning Deputy is appointed and serves directly under the Board of Commissioners and administers the Menard County Zoning and Subdivision Ordinances. These ordinances apply to the county's unincorporated areas and within villages that do not have their own ordinances. The County does not administer ordinances for the City of Athens, City of Greenview, or the City of Petersburg. The regular meeting of the Zoning Board of Appeals is held the last Thursday of each month at 6 p.m. Appeals must be received by the first Monday of each month for consideration before the Zoning Board of Appeals. Please contact the Menard County Zoning Officer for deadlines and fees.
